Thank you to everyone who made the Fall Forum on Wall Assemblies such a success! There were technical presentations, in-depth discussions, site visits, and lots of fun!
Stay tuned for a summary of the pros and cons of the wall types presented.
The Old Wilson School house once again graciously hosted us for the morning sessions. The afternoon was filled with two site visits in Jackson, finishing with an open-air happy hour on the rooftop balcony of the JH History Museum.
A huge thanks to all our panelists, speakers, building tour hosts, and most particularly our sponsors: 2025 marked the first year of expanded sponsorship and we’d like to particularly thank Vince Lovejoy and the Energy-1 team for their extensive knowledge, dynamic involvement, and support from the beginning. Other sponsors included GYDE Architects, JTEC, and Beyond Efficiency. Many thanks!
We can’t wait to see you all next year for another insightful and engaging Fall Forum!

Fall Forum 24’- 10/25/2024
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Fall Community Forum — a one-day event focused on the unique challenges and opportunities of designing, constructing, and maintaining buildings in cold climates.
Held at the Old Wilson School house, the forum brought together a diverse group of experts, practitioners, and building enthusiasts, all committed to advancing energy-efficient and economically viable building practices tailored to cold-weather environments.
The morning kicked off with an engaging round-table discussion that encouraged collaborative dialogue and idea-sharing among participants. Topics ranged from material performance in extreme conditions to innovative design strategies for thermal efficiency.
In the afternoon, we took part in several guided site visits to explore real-world applications of cold climate building principles. These tours offered a hands-on look at projects that are pushing the boundaries of performance and sustainability in cold regions.
We're grateful for the energy, insight, and community spirit that made this event a success — and we look forward to building on this momentum in future gatherings.
