Katie Burton is a project manager with experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects across technology, building consulting, and construction. Throughout her career, She’s developed skills in technical problem-solving, client collaboration, and project execution. Currently, she is an Assistant Project Manager at OSM Construction, a high-end general contractor in Jackson, WY with a reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and quality.

Katie began her career at In-Q-Tel, where she managed technology development programs in geospatial tech, sensors, and autonomous systems before transitioning into the building industry. At Beyond Efficiency, she managed sustainability consulting for multifamily projects from schematic design through construction and occupancy. That experience gave her a strong foundation in building science and the full design and construction project lifecycle, while working closely with architects, engineers, developers, and contractors.

Across every role, Katie’s found that successful projects come down to clear communication, strong relationships, attention to detail, and a willingness to keep learning. She’s energized by opportunities to work across disciplines, solve problems collaboratively, and continue deepening my knowledge of construction and the trades. Katie’s passion lies in working with natural materials such as straw, clay, hemp, and lime—sustainable, biophilic, and non-toxic options that foster a stronger connection to nature. Many of these are now available in pre-fabricated or regionally sourced forms, allowing her to combine traditional methods with modern efficiency. Her experience spans the Rocky Mountain West, from tribal affordable housing to high-end residences and institutional buildings, each shaped by her commitment to modern, humane, and place-based architecture.
